Do you often find yourself raining in tonight? If that is the case, and you often think that you should increase the safety of your night riding trips, here are a few practical and proven technique that will help you stay safe while riding in the dark. Before we begin, we are strongly of the view that you should not continue to write in the dark if you are not too sure about the safety specially infrastructure condition is not up to the mark and there isn’t any proper street lighting in the stretches that you find yourself riding frequently. Whenever possible, keep the motorcycle parked safely and take a cab home. So, let’s get started.

  • Be Visible to Others: the first thing that you need to take care of your own visibility to total riders and motorists on the road. If you are hard to spot, because you have dress yourself in dark black riding jackets or in dark black clothes command on top of that there aren’t any street lights happen it will be extremely challenging for other people to see you — and that increases the risk of an accident. And since you are on the motorcycle, the scope of injury for you is higher than anybody else. So, the onus of staying safe in dark writing conditions falls on the motorcyclist. Make sure to wear a brightly colored riding jacket along with bright motorcycle branded premium helmet that makes a simple unless of a challenge for other people to see you on the road. It might also be a good idea to attach reflective tips on the real surfaces after jacket as well as of the hat and some sections of the motorcycle also.
  • Enhance The Lighting Situation On Your Motorcycle: Just like it is important for other people to see you, as the writer, you must also be able to see and spot everything long before it becomes a hazard for your safety. In order to do that, you need strong headlights- unfortunately many motorcycles do not have the proper infrastructure to light up the road adequately. Thankfully, you can look aftermarket section and install aftermarket lights which will be more than adequate for even the darkest of conditions. Just be considerate of the fact that these lights are extremely bright and any incoming traffic might be temporarily blinded if you happen to keep the lights pointed straight at their eyes leading to an accident — or even worse, hit you head on!
  • Keep Things Slow: While riding in the dark is a challenge in itself, people make it even more difficult on them by keeping the motorcycle at high speeds. Ride at a moderate speed So that you have enough time to take evasive maneuvers if something appears suddenly in front of you. Writing at high speeds will reduce the amount of reaction time that you have in order to keep yourself protected as well as from hitting any anticipated obstacle appearing suddenly in on the road. The ideal speed for riding in the dark is below 60 kilometers per hour especially if the road conditions are also bumpy and not properly paved. In some circumstances, you may have to ride faster but even then, make sure that you are not jeopardizing your safety or your ability to make the right decisions at the right time.
  • Wear A Clear Visor Helmet: Many accidents can be easily avoided by wearing a branded premium motorcycle helmet that has a clear visor allowing the rider to see clearly in dark conditions. In many modern helmets, riders opt for tinted visors which make riding convenient in extremely bright days, however they are not suitable for riding in the dark because it reduces the amount of light falling on the eyes which makes it difficult for the rider to spot obstacles on the road. If you have a helmet that does not have a clear visor- consider replacing the visor with a clear visor, or get a dual visor helmet that has both a clear visor outside, followed by a sun visor on the inside and you can alternatively use one of the two depending on the riding condition.
  • Rear Vision Is Just as Important: Being able to see behind while riding a motorcycle is just as important known as being able to see clearly in front. Since you’re not going to be alone on public roads come up it does not make sense to just keep an eye on outside, because there might be vehicles approaching you at high speed from behind. If you’re about to make a lean change, without checking the lines behind you, it can almost always create condition that will put you into the mercy of motorists behind you. That is not the ideal condition specially for 2-Wheeler rider where safety is almost nonexistent compared to that of a car. If the vehicle behind happens to hit you at high speeds- you know the consequences! So, instead of removing rear view mirrors, tractor up medals along with double checking your blind spot by turning the head to make sure before making the maneuver.
  • Stay Extra Alert: Having high situational awareness is key to being safe on the roads. Do not distract yourself by listening to loud music, or talking to someone else on the Bluetooth enabled premium motorcycle helmet especially if you are fatigue and tired after a long day at office. Be aware of every other vehicle plying in and around so that you can take the right decisions on time and reach home safe.
  • Get A Helmet With Anti-fogging Visor: Last but not least cover it is also very good idea to invest in premium branded safest two-wheeler helmet which reduces or completely eliminates the problem of fog in winters there by giving you a clear vision of the road ahead which can be crucial in spotting challenges ahead of time and may I know right decisions. Anti-fogging premium branded helmet can also be very useful while riding in the dark especially after sunset and temperature starts to cool down thereby creating the likelihood of condensation appearing on the surface of the visor. With an anti-fogging visor helmet that will never happen which means you can confidently write without having to wipe the surface of the visor frequently.
